The Artic Blue is probably a complex of species, comprising the Rustic & the Sierra. The Rustic can be seen from AZ to the Arctic along the Rocky Mountains, generally in western USA and Canada.

Usually they have a black spot on the blue upper surfaces and a white area on the underside of the hind-wing

Females are browner rather than blue on the upper surfaces.
