This butterfly is mainly a Florida Butterfly and can be found in coastal Mexican areas as well as some lower Atlantic coastal areas in SC and NC. As with the Little Yellow it has nlack wing tips on the fore-wing as well as on the hind wing. They are rather more pronounced. They also have a black bar running across the middle of the upper wing surfaces. This is more pronounced in the male and is a distinguishing feature. The underside has a grainy or sandy appearance. It flies low to the ground.
