The Queen is part of the Monarch Family, classified as a member of the Milkweed group of butterflies. It too feeds on Milkweed. It flies most of the year and can be found in the southern states and border states. The Queen is possibly migratory in Texas but probably not elsewhere. It is identified by the white spots seen on the fore-wing’s both upper and lower surfaces.
