Home » Florida Photographic Butterfly Guide » Skippers » Grass Skippers » Hesperiinae » Neamathla Skipper This very dark small skipper is restricted to the Florida Peninsula and parts of E Texas.  It does appear in certain areas of the E Panhandle, but not in a way commonly. It is very similar to the Swarthy Skipper, which makes things difficult as their ranges do overlap.  It is darker, with no upper wing marking and darker on the underside too, being plainer with the veins not so easy to see.
