It can be found in Florida in many locations but is more common the further south you go. It can be seen as slightly similar to the Tawny-edged and Crossline but the underside is uniquely marked. It is darker with a lighter curved band. It also has a long bright orange ‘shoulder’ on the underside forewing. Tends to be smaller and remains low to the ground flitting around low growing nectar plants.
