A mainly eastern and central Skipper extending down to the central parts of the Florida Peninsula.   A smallish Skipper not to be confused with some of the larger Skippers. Darker brown on the upper surfaces and lighter on the underside. You can sometimes see see a line of light spots on the underwing of the male, not so easy to see on the female.  The female has a distinctive Brown ‘shoulder’ on her underside forewing.
