Desert Checkered-Skipper

This Skipper only just makes it into the border areas of AZ, NM and TX and as the name suggests is found in desert areas. The main difference with this Checkered-Skipper is that below it is much less marked and plainer. Above it resembles the Tropical but the Checkered fringe does go all the way to the top on the Desert.
