This skipper is found in the Big Bend area as well as coastal areas up to ME and even the central states. It is not a ‘common’ skipper but can be found near marshes and wet areas. An orange skipper identified by a a lighter ray extending from the body but not reaching the edge of the underside on the hindwing.
