Dun Skipper

A small dark plain uninspiring Skipper.  It is dark brown edging toward black on occasion. Male has very little by the way of markings upper or lower sides. The female does have several small white spots on the upper wing surface.  They both have a Golden head and neck.  This is more obvious in a fresh specimen of course. It can be found all over Florida and more generally over the south and east.  It does like wet areas but can be found in a wide variety for habitats.
