The Falcate Orangetip is found in the east from central TX to MA. It is not found as far south as the Panhandle or the Peninsula of FL, or anywhere along the Gulf Coast. It can be found in Central GA. It is Falcate as the fore-wings are slightly ‘Hooked’. The males have an ‘Orange Tip’ to the fore-wings and both sexes have a black spot on the fore-wing. It has black and white checkering round the wing margins.
