This is a south and eastern Butterfly ranging from E Texas to Missouri to New England and N Florida. It is not a butterfly found in the Florida Peninsula, but it can be found in the Pan handle. It typically has a lot of white frosting on the hind wing. Not to be confused with the Sliver-spotted Skipper where the White id a solid color and the dark colors on the underside are more black then brown.
