The Sweadner’s Juniper form is generally located in the Southeastern USA whereas the Siva form is a Western variety. Both forms are lighter green with white markings, but the Sweadner’s has an additional 2 small white bars on the underside of the hind-wing near the body.

Juniper Hairstreaks will frequently sit unnoticed on branches of juniper trees.  The best way to find this hairstreak is to shake juniper trees and branches.
