Milbert’s Tortoiseshell

Home » Florida Photographic Butterfly Guide » Brushfoot Family of Butterflies » Brushfoot Page 2 » Milbert’s Tortoiseshell This is a north and western butterfly.  The images were taken in the Salt Lake City areas.  Seen as a high contrast butterfly with the dark central areas contrasting with the wide orange/yellow band at the side.  The underside is mainly dark with a lighter area at the edge.
