Monk Skipper

Home » Florida Photographic Butterfly Guide » Skippers » Grass Skippers » Tropical Skippers » Monk Skipper

The Monk Skipper is seen from northern central Florida to the Keys.  It is typically a resident of Cuba that gets to us infrequently.  It is another large brown skipper, but as it’s name suggests it is brown with no markings, like a Monks habit.
