An orangy-brown smaller skipper. The females can be nicely marked with white dots forming a Chevron on the underside hindwing. However this is quite variable in it’s intensity. The males also have a faded chevron as well as a dark black spot, Stigma, on the upper forewing near the body, whereas the females are browner and have no stigma but do have a ‘glassy’ spot in the same place
