In the first part of the journey the land was dry, very dry, with brown grass and dusty roads. As we headed
north into the Serengeti the landscape started to turn a little greener. By the time we hit the northern end
of the Serengeti and the border with Kenya the grass was green and quite tall. This certainly explains why
the Herds of Wildebeest roam north on their migrations for food then swarm back south to calve in the
safety of the Crater area.
