The Tiny is a tiny Checkerspot found largely in the southern areas in western states, not quite extending as far west as California. It is frequently found with the ‘Elada Checkerspot’. They are very similar appearance with the Tiny generally having lighter black areas on the forewing upper surface and often having a lighter area. The hind underwing is less clearly banded.
