Very common in central to southern Florida, also on the southern parts of Texas. It frequents the Big Bend area in most years. Depending on the severity of the weather it may remain over winter in this area otherwise it typically repopulates during the early summer from the south. It therefore varies as to when we see it up in the Big Bend, early Spring to Summer.
